Default Western Wayne system in trouble by FCC

Western wayne system might get in trouble because of Dearborn Hgts Detectives swearing on the radio. and no im not the one complaining its one of my friends, her little kid was listening to it with her. when she called the FCC and told them what she heard they said that they will get in trouble for it, but we need you to do it in writing.

Default West Wayne in trouble

Just my opinion but its things like calling the fcc or even DHPD to complain is what helps to encourage encryption.

I don't think I would want to complain about it to the FCC,It's not that I don't agree with you but I also think this would lead to encryption, and make it harder for all of us scanner junkies to hear our favorite channels, but this is also"just my opinion".

Does your 'friend' own a TV or go out in public? Or listen to howard stern or drew and mike?? Has she called on every show on prime time, and every rock jock on the morning air?
Seems to me, she was practicing unsafe monitoring, putting what must be young children in front of a device known to have not - so - nice transmissions. You think her kids would have been better off hearing of a nice bloody body found in the alley? I doubt it.
Your friend needs a new hobby. I dont condone swearing, and it's a shame her kids were exposed to this, but I'd bet good money it's not the first time, by far. The FCC will likely let this one die on a table somewhere, or fine them a couple of bucks. Appropriate I'd say. They'd already gone to some lengths to keep the average joe from hearing what they say.

yep she does and ive spent all weekend trying to make her change her opinion and i finially did it cause i was pissed that she wanted to do it. i feel that if it happens it happens. you dont hear the FCC banging on peoples doors or pulling them over for swearing over the CB. i found it pointless but i finially did it cause it can all come back at me cause i actually know the POs that did it over the radio, and they all know that i listen to them.

Tell her she can complain to the FCC all she wants. I'm sure they have more important things to do besides worrying about a "swearing" complaint over a police frequency.

Matter of fact, doesn't she have anything better to do?
