Michigan Edacs

I am wanting to know here in Michigan I am wanting to program Edacs in my Pro-2096 scanner on the site it has talk group 7009 it says E NETN8 Narcotics Enforcement
I wanted to know if anybody knew if that is Edacs Wide or Narrow?

That talkgroup you mention is on the MPSCS system which isn't EDACS--it's a digital P25 (or Motorola as the scanners call it) system. Also, assuming the database is correct, that talkgroup 7009 is encrypted so there is no way to monitor it on the 2096 or any scanner. BTW, most EDACS systems should be programmed as EDACS WIDE, unless the system type says "EDACS NARROWBAND".

The "E" before the name indicates encrypted. So it's gonna be scrambled most of the time.
