Default Send a TX?

On my scanner, I always here police talking to dispatch or vise-versa saying "Send me a TX." or "Send a TX to my screen." I always assumed it was sending a message to their computer screen but one day I heard dispatch telling an officer that she told the R.P. to send her a TX or something like that. What does TX mean? It sounds like they say "TX" but it might be something similiar. If anyone could help me out, that'd be great. Thank you!!

A TX is a phone call. The "Send Me a TX" might be a message with a Telephone number...
