Default Monroe County

Are all police still being dispatched by the county other than the city? I see on the updates they have Erie Twp. listed with thier own dispatch talkgroup and Luna Pier too. Are these departments now dispatching themselves?

If you look at the talkgroups like Luna Pier(58P541) you will notice that it does not say 911. So therefore it is not a "dispatch" talkgroup. It is a private talkgroup.

The county does dispatch for them. Monroe City is the only ones that dispatch for themselves. If the talkgroups refect Luna Pier and Erie DISPATCH, then they are wrong

Hope that helps ya

Eric

well......yes and no. If I listen off of the Flat Rock tower they come in loud and clear, but if I try to listen to the Dundee tower I cannot hear them, even on a 3 element yagi. I guess it is time to upgrad the 3 element to something larger. But overall I am very happy with the way that they sound.

When I came through there on my way back from Florida (During the Snowstorm about a week ago), the signals on my Pro-96 were terrible in the far south end of the county around the state line, but as I moved a little further north, the signal sounded very good. I think it's going to depend a lot on your location how good it's going to sound on a scanner.

The last time I was that far south, the MSP system came in excellent even from Toledo, Ohio- I use an XTS3k- not a scanner.
