Portage PD

I keep hearing Portage PD on the counties VHF MSPCS patch calling different jurisdictions and private security companies.... it sounds like there testing some sort of radio patching thing.

So far I have heard them call KAlamazoo TWP PD, Pfizer Security, and a couple others I just heard the tail end of.

I am a couple of counties away, but I remember a few years ago them buying a JPS/Raytheon ACU-1000 system, allowing them to patch any agency to any other agency. Supposedly it is referred to on the air as “ACU unit”.
