Default Train wreck, Perry area?

Wife says they cut into the TV station saying there'd been a derailment with explosion in the perry/morrice area.
Anyone got a link to news info in the area?

I haven't been paying attention but from what I hear it ended up being not as bad as anticipated, they started to evac people but stopped shortly thereafter when authorities learned there was no hazmat issue. We were going to do a cut-in around 5 but that was cancelled.

It's in Bancroft.

I wonder if NOAA All-Hazards Radio was used to alert the public to evacuate their homes in the vicinity of the train derailment?

Not that my radio caught. Shiawassee and Genesee are both transmitted from the Clio tower (162.475).

Nothing was requested by the local EM for NOAA or for EAS or with the media... Since this is a very small town and the evac order was cancelled just after it was issued I don't see the need to alert via outside resources.
