Ya dere, eh. Former Yooper here. Now a cheesehead.

Must be nice to be way up in Anvil location. I was on Sunset Road. I used
to get into Minnesota a little ways, but not as far as you. I never got that
far over into the U.P. either. I was on the wrong side of the hill.

My parents still live on Sunset, too. I'm now down in New London, WI.

Cool...Good that there are a few of us here! Yeah, Sunset is over run with deer now. Ironwood is trying to get a special bow season, but you know how that goes...People don't want ya to kill "their" deer that they feed year 'round...Wish they would figure out that that IS THE problem! Ha!

Well will have to keep in touch here on the forum now that I know theres a few of us here!

I'm into listening to Military op's and do a little Pirate radio on the side but the skip has died off about 1 1/2 years ago...Hope it comes back soon!

I found some frequencies for the refuelling corridor over the western UP. Are these the military ops you're talking about or do you mean HF listening?

133.550 Ironwood Military Low Discrete
281.500 Rhinelander Military Low
316.150 Rhinelander Military High

Hey PBlumer...Yep, I have those and a few more too. I heard Duluth ANG once a month ago, but haven't heard anything since...133.55 is very active. Somedays I have to L/O it so the scanner can pick up other stuff! Ha! I also have a Yeasu 757GXII for the HF MIl Greq's...that can be fun too...The County took over Kinross, you prolly already knew that but they got a big jail on it now.
