Default Western Wayne County

I am just starting to add Western Wayne County Mutual Aid to my scanner, and i noticed that they have some system I am not familiar with. The Emergency Multi-select feature. It seams that I still pick up most PD transmissions but not too much Fire communication. I have the TGs that are given on RadioReference programed, but not the TGs + "the special status bits" from the Multi-select feature.
Am I missing some communications? or is this not really used, if it is used can anyone tell me what departments do and on which TGs.

^^ link to WW Mutual Aid, if you dont know what Im talking about

Thanks

Default Status Bits

For my Uniden Scanner, if I set the Status Bit to "ignore", it picks up everything. You should not have to program each of the 16 tgs. Just make sure you have the right setting.

Westland, Wayne, Inkster, Garden City, and Dearborn Heights are on that system. You should hear Westland FD quite a bit, but keep in mind that some other communites dispatch their FD by telephone, so you won't hear as much.

154.37 is still used by some Western Wayne communities, but is no longer used by any of the ones I listed above that moved to the trunked system.

No you are not missing any communications. ALL POLICE and FIRE operations for Inkster, Dearborn heights, Westland, Wayne and Garden city are on the system. Just program your scanner with the info from here, and just forget about the status bit.

I monitor the system from time to time and have never set the status bit, but then again the GRE's dont do status bit anyway.....
