Question Consumers Power and MichCon/DTE

Anyone know what frequencies Consumers Power Comany uses and any for DTE?
I know Consumers is on a trunked system (EDACS) and not sure what one MichCon/DTE uses.
Would like to monitor both (Would have been nice to monitor last week when had a larga area wide power outage).

I'm sure someone will come in with the exact freqs, but I listened to DTE on analog VHF in the last couple of months. There's a list somewhere of DTE VHF freqs, that I couldn't find in a quick look in the database here, that is active.

I can confirm detroit edison is on the listed vhf frequenices.Be aware that we have computer dispatching that started about a year ago. Also most comunications is by cell phone. The company doesnt want to go all digital because sometimes our crews go out of state to help other utilitys and with the vhf systems they can communicate while out of town.

Sounds like you may know:
Do DTE employees maintain and install the radios, data terminals, etc?
Or is installation and maintenance contracted out?
Or does the vendor(s) they buy the equipment from also install and maintain the system?

Correct. I found the reason for my error. The FCC database has them listed as:

DTE
Detroit Edison
Detroit Edison Co
Detroit Edison Company

Bill

I suspect that each time forms are filed for something that the name is listed differently..

No doubt, but a good database administrator should catch that by indexing. cross referencing, updating and consolidating. I used to get FCC data from Percon and the spelling errors, and redundancy were unbelievable. I'd estimate the 25% of there data was redundant in some way.
