U.S. Congressmen Dale E. Kildee (D-MI) has secured $500,000 in federal funds for Flint PD to upgrade its radio system to the Genesee County MPSCS subsystem.

Flint just refuses to exit the 1970's and upgrade their radio system. My favorite line of that story is "Police say no one in this part of the state is utilizing conventional radio anymore for public safety." That sums up the entire city in a nutshell.
