Default should i buy a Pro 106 in Genesee County?

I was looking at the Pro 106 so I could trunktrack the 2 LTR systems here in Genesee Co., which are used by Emergency Med Stat and Patriot Ambulance Service. I was wondering though if it'd be a waste of money since some of the other EMS companies (Swartz Ambulance and Regional EMS) are slowly migrating to the MPSCS, which my Pro 96 can already receive. So are there any confirmed plans for the other Genesee Co. EMS providers to ever move to the MPSCS (specifically the 2 I listed), or should I drop the $500 for a Pro 106?

Cant tell you the answer on the ambulance companies. But you will get greater quailty and decoding of the mulitcast systems from the 106 or GRE500.

thanks. I'll try to confirm that.

A Pro 106 is sounding like a waste of money more and more if this is true...

Speaking of EMS, TG 12211 comes up quite a bit. Its not in the DB as anything, but its sounds like EMS, is it in Genesee? Surrounding TGs are assigned to Genesee.

yes it is, its Community EMS, which serves Oakland and Wayne counties.

12211 Community EMS Dispatch - South
12212 Community EMS Dispatch - North

and the only surrounding TG's that have been confirmed as Genesee Co are 12209 and 12210 which are Regional EMS (Community EMS' sister company) which only serves Genesee Co.

It's a slow switch, not all rigs have the new stuff installed yet.

Neither do the dispatchers, they're patching to the MPSCS with their old analog VHF radios (on Regional EMS anyway). They sound terrible, the mic volumes don't match, they have them up way too high and its all distorted, its like they're yelling.

Just heard a EMS dispatch on it. No identifying info in regards to which company. Do certain companies use certain identifying numbers? i.e., I know all Regional EMS rigs are A,B or C 35#.

Great list.
So these numbers tell me who is who? Let me know if you find the full one.
Thanks for the help.
