Default Taylor DPW Radio Change?

I noticed today that there were some digital type sounds on Taylor's DPW radio for the first time. There is a pending license change too. The new emission type is 11K2F3E changed from 20K0F3E. Their freq is 154.085 KDV413.

Is anyone able to understand the change from the pending license info?

I looked at the database here, it says Narrowband FM. But I remember about six months ago, seeing Taylor DPW listed as some sort of digital mode somewhere. I'll plug it in and give a listen. Taylor isn't something I normally listen to.

They might have added a SCADA system. That will sound something like paging data bursts but depending on how its configured and how many sites are online it will still allow voice traffic over the same channel. Those systems are commonly licensed on an 11k2f3e modulation designator provided they are set to listen before transmit.

Or it could be that they are starting the process of switching their fleet of radios to 12.5 Khz bandwidth and the data bursts are intermod or a spurious signal that you hadnt noticed or recently came about.
