Flint PD dispatch on Southwest still - why????

Anybody here know why Flint PD dispatch is still simulcasting on MPSCS 2415? I thought its supposed to be Genesee County law enforcement mutual aid - southwest? Are they ever going to fix this problem? Or was the talkgroup re-assigned so the rest of the county could monitor Flint PD?

Since Flint doesn't have the money to change over the the MPSCS and the rest of the county has it sort of makes sense to simulcast so the county and MSP can hear the calls. I wouldn't think of it as a probelm that needs to be fixed. It's more like a fix than a problem.

They got a grant for the purchese of their radios so they will be going but it's when the state has the room to handle more user id's on the system.

Thats if the state and get butt in gear and upgrade their platforms.

Are you sure the only reason they aren't on MPSCS is because of radio ID's? That's not what the state is saying at least...
