I live in Westland and have ordered a BCD996T because it was cheap. I ordered the scanner from Universal Radio. Upon further reading I have learned that the BCD996XT has appeared to replace the BCD996T. Is the BCD996XT a big improvement when it comes to receiving simulcast (such as Macomb County and Detroit? I could barely pick up Detroit from Westland with the BCD996T...so would the BCD96XT offer a noticable improvement? Is the receiver a lot more sensative? How about the audio? My BCD996T has not shipped yet from Universal Radio so if the BCD996XT is much better I will change my order. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

It's has some additional features, but the XT doesn't get multicast CQPSK systems any different than the T so don't worry.
