They use the DownRiver - Police South channel as there primary communication channel. Gibraltar PD is Station 15, and all cars begin with 15**.

But I haven't noticed a major change in radio traffic lately, but Ill keep my ears open for them.

Gibraltar isn't a big town, usually not much going on. Seems like when you do hear them, half the time they are shagging calls for Station 18, 'cuz Brownstown don't have a car in the south end. Plus I think the smaller towns in the south end of Downriver make more use of the Nextels between the station and each other.

That is True...I do know one of there Cars now does log checks all the way down to Pointe Maulee State Game Area off and on, usually 15-6 Doing that lately. As for the Road Patrol Cars guess traffic is Normal--usually busy during the evenings lately, and really only get a chance to listen late at night, around 12a.m. til 2:30a.m.

The Log Checks usually Come in on PD Channel 3

All I usually here is like this 15-6 On 3, Log Check of Certain area, All is Quiet or Normal, Heard Them call in on Elizbeth Park Marina, Shorelines of Grosse Ille at Times, and our own City Log Checks...I'm assuming there Crime Prevention Checks, but not sure why there checking out of City, unless they have an agreement with departments they check out of city

On West Jefferson, just north of the county line, part of the original log road, the first river road ever laid out, can be seen from the side. You have to get out of your vehicle and look go down the embankment a liitle to see them. Every night, Rockwood or Gibralter or Brownstown checks the logs.
