Saginaw County digital system
Just an update on the new digital radio system in Saginaw County, Most police agency's in the county have had their patrol cars outfitted with the new mobile radios and HT's, and all Saginaw County fire departments have their apparatus outfitted as well. The fire departments are still awaiting the arrival on the HT's so they can only communicate with Central Dispatch on the digital system, they are not able to use any TAC channels. Inner system communications are still made using the old 800MHz system, and the whole county is still simulcasting the digital system over the analog system. Latest word is that on Oct 21, 2009 the county will make the full switch over to the new digital system. I will update any information as i recieve it.
