hello all,
I would like to know what freq's i need to program for the MI. DNR
I am real new to this so all your help is greatly appreciated. I do not have win96 or any other program to help program due to lack of funds. I have programed it manually for the most part
I should add I only need Wayne, Washtenaw and Monroe counties or is it for all MI. ??
I NEED HELP !!!!! LOL

The MDNR does use MPSCS so they are Trunked for some of their comms. As to the cc's it is the tower or site the radio is on, I've heard them on different sites around Macomb and Genesee counties.

If you are trying to scan them from Milan then I would suggest programming Monroe 868.900, Flat Rock 867.975, Ann Arbor 868.875 and Northville 867.925. You'll need to add towers if you start moving around.
For talkgroups you would want to make sure to program.
TG-1251 DNR Check In/Out
TG-1109 DNR LEIN/RSS
TG-2093 DNR District #8 Dispatch
TG-1112 DNR District #9 Dispatch
8-123 Washtenaw
8-124 Washtenaw
9-110 Monroe
9-111 Monroe
9-112 Wayne
9-113 Wayne
I should add that DNR also can get dispatched by their home county dispatch. In the case of Washtenaw Co. they can also be heard being dispatched on the Washtenaw TRS by the Sheriff's dept. Their designator on that system is DNR 1 & 2

If you scan your local mpscs towers in the open mode you won't need the talk groups and will hear them when they are on.
They check in and out with sta. 20 and use one of the RAP talkgroups usually and then go to the local district tg's.
Their radios may also have some of the local law enforcement tg's programed in them too. If there are any state parks in the area they may have those tg's too. Don't expect them to be very free with their talk because they like to see and hear rather than be seen and heard and they may use other dnr tg's rather than just law tg's.

One easy way to tell that it's DNR is if they do RSS checks.

Retail Sales System, They bought their hunting or fishing license at Wal_Mart etc. They can get the details of what license they bought or any past violations.

Retail Sales System. Tells the officer the status and what type of license was purchased.
