I believe
• 43565 Elizabeth, Clinton Township
is the current tower 210. Makes me wonder?
A friend of mine says no Freqs yet.

With the nine tower sites you have listed, the Macomb County's new radio system should have some great coverage, especially for the handheld units. I wonder how Warren's TRS will play into the grand scheme of things in future? Will it be a subsystem of the Macomb County TRS or MPSCS itself?

From what I was told Warren is staying as they are, just upgrading their system. Just Warren and Centerline on it.

It wouldn't suprise me if that was the case. The frequencies on that site plus a few more would make some sense. (Possibly some that are on 209 now even).

I sat down this morning, and put together a map of the towers (I will post it on Monday after I get it looking right.
The 43565 tower is NOT the existing tower for the MSP system. it is the MC Jail rooftop tower.
this was confirmed at the Macomb County SD website
Also, November 2nd they are headed to Motorola for a live test on the system set up in a warehouse.

Tower 210 is at Hall and Elizabeth, next to the jail. Real close. Does anyone know if this will be 800mhz or 700 mhz?

I would think it would be 800MHz, considering Macomb County is supposed to join the MPSCS in the near future.

From what was said yesterday, the system is 800 mhz... matter of fact, of the 17 freq's/channels they will have, the majority came directly from the MPSCS... I think it was 4 or 6 freq's that are licenced directly to Macomb County... the state will hold the licence on the other freq's
and.. the licences are already taken care of

There are no 800Mhz licenses for these towers at this moment, and there are none pending as of now per the FCC database. There is only one 800Mhz frequency licensed to Macomb county (851.1875).

according to the Emergency Manager of Macomb County, the licenses are complete. I saw him at a meeting, and asked because everyone has heard nothing about freq's... I was hoping to get some information about when they were obtaining licenses
Now exactly how they are set up, I dont know...
Also, I overheard someone talking about "there is no need for encription, except on some detective groups. with the number of talkgroups, they will have a hard time finding you"
All I did was smile.
Now, to talk "she who must be obayed" into the 2096 before the changeover

if all goes well in November at the test, there is a 6 month install.
then the microwave links are installed and that is another 3 months
by the end of 2006 we should be hearing transmissions on the system

I've been checking the FCC database, there's nothing there on licenses. Someone doesn't have all the information at the moment that they think they do... What they probably do have is the coordination for the frequencies, but that's not a license to operate...
