Pro 2096 control channels

I have read some post on seperating each 800 channel entered by a regular freq, what are the pro's and con's of this, I am new and need Help....

The pro to this is that each control channel will be scanned, but it will result in a somewhat slower scan speed since it's being forced to scan each control channel. Hope this helps.

It's putting a conventional channel between each group of control channels, so that you can have more than 1 site in a single bank. Putting conventional channels between control channels on the same site really does nothing, since only 1 of them is active at a time.
