I hear most traffic for Ionia county on VHF on my back back and forth from Grand Rapids to Lansing. Use this link to get Ionia County, http://www.radioreference.com/module...e=RR&ctid=1260

They have two talk groups in MPSCS that I hear traffic on from time to time.
here they are:

Ionia County (34) Talkgroups

DEC HEX Mode Display Description
3099 c1b D 34COM Countywide COM (Mutual Aid all agencies)
3100 c1c D 34P911 Central 9-1-1 Police - Dispatch

As for the tower sites go to the bottom of the MPSCS page in the data base and look for the towers in Ionia County. I think there are 3 in Ionia county and you may want to put the control channels fro the Cannonsburg tower in too. Hope this helps!!

You don't have to program any talk groups. Just run the digital bank in "SEARCH" mode, rather than "SCAN" mode. You can toggle between the two modes, while on the digital bank, by pressing ALT 5.

The city of Ionia plans on moving over the MPSCS in the next few months. Ionia County may more all of their operations over to the same system in the future. However, they are looking for a source of funding to procure the radios.
