Default Added Michigan State U talkgroups

Hi all - For those who care, I added a bunch of talkgroup info for Michigan State University. Please forgive me for not knowing this but.....why are the DEC and HEX that are displayed different than the numbers that I submitted. For instance - for the 911 talkgroup I submitted: DEC-802049 and HEX- C3D01, but what is displayed is: DEC-15617 and HEX- 3d0. These are the HEX and DEC numbers that I used when I created the templates, so I know them to be correct. I am new here so your help is appreciated. Thank you.

How are you programming this into your scanner? I tried to set it up as a Motorold Type 2 Digital 800. Is that correct? Also do you need to program a fleet map into the scanner. I'm using both a BC296D and a BC796D.

Should be Motorola type 2 800 mhz and it should not give you the option of a Fleet map, If you are using BC296D/796Dss to program it with. Be sure to set I-Call (This system appears to be making use of the I-call function for many users. This has included both radio to radio comms, and phone patch coms with university services.)

I'm not programming the numbers into a scanner, these are the actual numbers that I used when we built the radio system back in 1999. Does the number conversion have something to do with Uniden scanning? Just ordered in Uniden BC246T, so I guess I'll find out.

802049 is not DEC. It is Motorola format, which as you stated, is used to program the radios themselves and not scanners. 802499 MOT translates into 15617 DEC. Hope this helps
