Default Bay County Migration To The MPSCS

In the coming weeks, Bay County will begin their migration to the MPSCS TRS. Please post any relevant information about the upcoming changeover in this thread. This includes any talkgroup information that you may find.

Thank you!

Default Talk Group ID's

Bay City Tower was turned on sometime in the last 2 days

although not active yet as far as traffic all the time I managed to get a few ID's

12554-Bay EMS (responding ALS to Fire Dept)
12555-Bay City Fire Dept. (supposedly not switching to 800 yet but available for HAZMAT Truck)
12556-Bay County Fire Dispatch
2617-Bay County Medical Control Authority
12557-Fire Ground 1
12558-Fire Ground 2
13123-Fire Ground 3
13124-Fire Ground 4
2022-Special Event 1
2023-Special Event 2

And an FYI the Radio ID is broken down as such 2093148

2 is the District (we were told this in class)
09 is the County Code
3148 is the individual radio ID. Evens are Portables and Odds are Mobiles/Base/Dispatch Radios

and from my understanding the radio never changes as you change tower locations so if you were in Grand Rapids and saw radio ID 2094668 it is a portable radio from Bay County

Default Bay City Fire

What is the expected date that Bay City Fire will go live with the new system?

Will they use their current system as backup or simulcast?

Thanks!

Default Bay City Fire

We were told that they are not switching anytime soon because they don't have the problems the County Fire Frequency has with the VHF tower being right in the downtown area so who knows maybe never, but we were told they have a talk group and have 4-800mhz radios in the HAZMAT Truck for interoperability purposes. So I don't know if or when they would switch.
