Of course mototrbo costs more than analog! I never mentioned analog ht's. mototrbo is less than digital so obviosly, maybe they didnt have enough left over from the police switch. I.e. arenac is the same, fire is not on digital.
Yet again, if they didnt enough money, mototrbo would fulfill fcc narrow band.

The point is -- If they were going for the cheapest rate to make the FCC happy, it would be analog HTs for $200-$400. There is no need to go MotoTRBO, and if the rest of the county is on MPSCS, then going to MotoTRBO or analog makes no difference.
