I figured this was gonna be the case... Just wondering who they might have been. Seemed like a lot of man/woman power for two people. Almost leads me to believe that they were federal which would really be surprising as their stuff tends to be encrypted.

That's why it is better to edit and remove references to specific talkgroups and incidents when it comes to events like this

TG: 2040 affiliated off the Detroit City Simulcast. Interesting as according to the enty for this talkgroup it's Western Wayne Narcotics and it's suppose to be encrypted. They were indeed stakeing out someone with a stripper girlfriend.

Somebody probably just flipped their encryption switches. That's a good reason to keep E talk groups in your radio, and also a good reason not to make mention publicly

New users on talkgroups 22021 and 22022 playing with their new radios. All of which, have Wayne County RIDs on the Wayne County Simulcast System.

The Marine City PD has recently hired a detective. Any time you hear the encryption that means the detective is on duty. All regular patrol officers are in the clear.

I think some of the DNR TG's didn't get updated in the DB when DNR shuffled things around some time ago.

Also, with the DNR receiving new mobile and portable radios last year, I am sure more template changes are coming in the future. Sadly, we didn't receive any updates when this happened. Likewise, with the state government always looking for ways to cut and balance their budget, it's almost given there will be more changes to state agencies, and the DNR will likely be no exception. Therefore, I would look for more talkgroup changes down the road.

I live between 8 and 9 mile road near Harper. The Nextel tower at Old 8 Mile Rd is destroying my St Clair Shores reception. Thought MPSCS rebanding would have cleared this up for me by now. According to MPSCS schedule, rebanding for this geographic area should have been completed by now, does anyone know what is causing the delay? Guessing its a financial matter.

All radios have to be rebanded before the switch. I'm not sure if more than a few towers have done the switch.

I understand, thanks for the info. Actually, thinking it through all the radios might have to be physically touched 2 or 3 times. The techs will probably program in a transistion zone of channels, the new channels then remove the old channels, whew, good luck, hope they are using the latest version of software. Can you imagine the nightmare coordinating the new frequencies with the Canadians? Bet some of the techs wish they were back on 42.58 MHz lol. Don
