Don't do anything for now. When the time comes, and you need to reband, it'll be much easier to explain.

I'm hearing some copter talk on LZ1 here on Northville site even though they are talking about Grand Rapids.

Is it possible that someone left their radio on LZ1 in my area and it's broadcasting all over the state?

//edit:

And isn't it something that the techs of MPSCS would like to crack down on?

It wouldn't broadcast to the whole state. It would be on the tower where they are landing, and your tower.

Survival Flight leaves LZ1 on, so they can talk to other helicopters that are inbound to the hospital.

Default Grand Rapids Tower Active

Began picking up the Grand Rapids tower this afternoon at 3:45PM. 868.1375 as control channel, tower ID as 32A.

I don't know how to submit any of the "fancy" stuff.

Looks like the tower is already in the DB:

3 (3) 042 (2A) Grand Rapids Kent 866.73750 866.77500 867.03750 867.23750 867.28750 867.66250 867.76250a 868.13750c

I added it to my 800 but due to my proxmity to Cedar and Cannon I its locking to either of those I'll lock them out and see if I can get it.

Cool

I'm getting tg 11067 on Eastern Wayne County. Sounds like surveillance. They mentioned 2 streets that I won't post here. 11067 isn't listed. Would this be a patched tg? I don't have Procom

No, patched TGs don't show different numbers like in other trunked systems with status bits.

2 streets mentioned were Rawsonville, the other was Pamela. I had the radio in search mode which I don't usually do. Thought I would see if any Detroit tg's appeared.

The state of Michigan has filed an STA license request with the FCC, to operate their SOW at Camp Grayling, which is the Michigan National Guard training facility, for their 100th Anniversary event. They would like to begin operations on 7/15/13, to set up and verify site operation prior to the event taking place on 7/20/13. The site will be turned off on 7/22/13. This event will likely attract a large number of people, and is in an area that suffers from poor reception. More information is available on the FCC Web site:

License application.

Yet another system update.

The Michigan Public Safety Communication system is upgrading to System Release 7.13 on August 14, 2013. The software upgrade will provide new functionality and tightens security within the system infrastructure. Please read MPSCS Bulletin #2013-02 to see how this will affect your agency.

Something that may help to I.D. unknowns is put them in each counties wiki? An idea I came up with while facebook chatting with the user who edited the wiki.

Tuscola
Tuscola County (MI) - The RadioReference Wiki

Lapeer
Lapeer County (MI) - The RadioReference Wiki

Saginaw
Saginaw County (MI) - The RadioReference Wiki
