Any info if this patch is permanent or temporary?

Not sure how long. I think it has something to do with MSP in Pontiac too, but im not sure. It seems like they flip it on and off. Before tonight I had not heard the patch active in a while.

A lot of the FD's that tone out their trucks still patch back to their old UHF / VHF analog system.
Novi, Farmington Hills, Troy, West Bloomfield Twp, and Commerce Twp are just a few examples. How the patch works varies from department to department. On some like WBT all you can hear is dispatch. On others like Novi you get both sides of the conversation.

Two new talkgroups have appeared on the Wayne County Simulcast System: 22073 and 22074. Sadly, both are encrypted.

Default MPSCS Sites/Talkgroups 2013

I haven't heard anything out if Redford Township PD in this system. Anyone got any info on them ? I programmed their talk groups as listed in the database.

Which tower's do you have programmed? You can hear them mainly off the Northville, Southfield, and Wayne and Detroit Simulcasts.

I was in Lapeer County last night and noticed the system was routinely trunking to voice channels in the 770.000 area. Unfortunately I don't have a full list of new voice channels, but this was something I just happened to observe while there.

Do you remember which site you were listening to? The site in Romeo has a few 700mhz pairs available and I'm sure it carriers Lapeer County traffic from time to time.

Quick question about MSP D2 talkgroups...

I've taken about a year hiatus from scanning and just over the past couple weeks got back into it. I see there's a North and South dispatch on D2N and D2S, but are the spares D2E & D2W used for anything anymore? Like is it worth me programming them into my Pro-106 or are they still just used for patching like they did with Macomb Central Dispatch?

The old D2N TG is now used for dispatching all Dist 2 units.
The old D2W TG is commonly patched in with TG 1471 from the Oakland CO Opensky system (OCSD Pontiac Dispatch)

Someone feel free to jump in if I am wrong but I have not heard the Mac CO SO dispatch patched in with any of these lately.

IMHO I would still program all four in. You never know what you might hear get patched in or pop up on one of the spares.

I was stationary in Lapeer City when I was listening to the traffic listening with a PSR600 mounted in my car with an 800mhz trunk mount antenna. I don't know if I would pick up the Romeo Twr from there using that setup. The scanlist I have set up in my PSR600 has both the Lapeer Co simulcast and Romeo towers programmed in it (along with others for that region). If my memory serves me correctly, the voice frequency that came up most often was 774.3__ (possibly 774.350).

New talkgroup on the Wayne County simulcast site, 22050; RIDs 8282102, 9824073 and 9824141. I haven't been around when this talkgroup is active so I don't know if it's encrypted or not.

Heard some audio on this talkgroup today. Sounded like a road crew for either a local road commission or MDOT. I don't think it's Marquette County Road Commision since they are on MOTO TRBO radios last I knew.

TG-22028 Sounds like some sort of in house shuttle? "security to mobile I've got 1 to go in the lobby" I keep catching the same type of traffic on this talkgroup, but so far its been too brief to ID. Oakland Co base radio type RID.

TG-22050 Wayne RID. "hey guys make sure you have your manifest before going to the dump"

TG-22053 Wayne Co RID and encrypted.

Looks like the airport talkgroups are active now.

Gonna take a wild guess...

TG-22050 Baggage carts?

TG-22053 Airport PD

Hearing TG #1516. Not listed that I can find. I'm sure it's MDOT. They mentioned several times mile marker 115 the road being shining, doing the '66 ramps, Albion (which is in Calhoun County) and I heard truck 269. This traffic was on the Paw Paw Tower. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks & Happy Holiday....

It's MDOT. I've heard this used in Kalamazoo area. Someone must have been tuned to their TG in your area.

Probably the Kalamazoo Garage. The 115 mile marker is between Marshall and Albion, & the '66 ramps would refer to M-66, which is in Battle Creek.

Sorry for the double post...

If you guys don't have em yet in your scanner put them in. Wayne DPW TGs. With all the snow they are going off the hook and they got some great info on road conditions there.
