Why do they do this? I just got my and my mom's scanners re-programmed for trunking right before Thanksgiving. I noticed last night that I haven't heard any trunking traffic, i.e. State Police, for at least a week or more now. So they must have changed frequencies on the towers I had programmed. Why? Just to frustrate us? lol I'm in Holland / Ottawa County. She's in Manistee / Manistee County.

Rebranding has been in process for years now. Long and short of it... Just bad timing on your part.

Just wondering, did you get a chance to reprogram the scanner with the new control channels? Is it working ok now?

Hello,
I can't pick up the Livonia, MI PD. I have all of the (Northville, Wayne Simulcast, Beech Daly) tower frequencies and Livonia PD talk groups from radioreference loaded into the same bank. In addition, I loaded a frequency recommended in this thread (852.7875). I am using ARC96 and have also tried loading the re-banding tables. I have not heard any signals from Livonia PD.
I seem to pickup Plymouth/Northville signals from the Northville tower OK.
Also, Redford Twp and MI State Police District 2 seem to be coming in.
By the way, I am somewhat a novice at scanning if you can't tell.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Frequencies loaded in bank for Livonia:
852.4625
852.8875
852.9625
853.4625
852.9250
853.9625
853.3000
853.8250
852.7875
867.7875

Livonia PD Talkgoups loaded in bank:
7035 538P911
12709 538LEIN
12710 538PCAR
12751 538P
12752 538P
12753 538P
12730 538CID1
12734 538PIB1
12735 538PIB2
12736 538PIB3
12738 538PIB5
12739 538PIB6
12740 538PIB7

12731 538P
12732 538P
12733 538P
12737 538PIB4

Multi-table values:
440 559 440 851.0250 25.000
0 719 0 851.0125 25.000
720 759 0 848.0000 25.000

All of Livonia PD talk groups are encrypted, you will never receive them. In the Radio Reference database the mode column shows E, this means the traffic is encrypted and cannot be received on any scanner. Canton PD and 2 of the Canton FD talk groups are also encrypted.

At the top of this website click on the "database" tab. Then click on Michigan on the map. For the MPSCS go to the bottom of the page and click on "Michigan Public Safety Communication System".

Happy scanning,
Jim

It looks like whomever put the info together was already on vacation.

Anyone have an update on the reprogramming of the Macomb County Simulcast system? Reportedly the techs were scheduled to reprogram 9 sites yesterday and today, guessing the weather or something else has hampered their efforts.

Rebanding activities scheduled for this week were pushed back to next week due to the weather (according to MPSCS website).

Default Macomb County Simulcast

Thank you for the update, that is pretty much what I thought had occurred. It's been so cold in SE Michigan the site doors are probably frozen shut and if they could gain access the service monitors probably wont come up to operating temperature, lol. I am sure those boys know what they are doing.
