Not much right now. Must have missed it.

What was it?

Interesting listening Saturday night with the Clinton Twp shooting and ensuing manhunt.

They moved most of the comms to 460.1500. Sounds like it settled down, as they just said they're going back to "main".

They had a black SUV they had been tracking, parked in a parking lot somewhere on Gratiot. They went to recover the tracking device, and there was a note on the windshield..."Have a nice day", and they said it looked "wired", as in booby trapped. Lots of response, but it sounds like it's under control.

One of the dispatchers even said "a device inside"... the MSP Bomb squad was called from Lansing, but it ended before that.

MCSD had South Gratiot closed at Market and traffic became a C F.

about halfway thru the incident, Mount clem HS was dismissed for the day, and they had officers routing kids around the parking lot.

I watched Ch 4 news at 5-630.. and not a word.... shows why scanning gives you the FULL news

Tracking device on SUV closes parking lot

Police shut down the Roskopp Municipal Parking Lot on Gratiot near Cass for about an hour Tuesday while they investigated a suspicious device attached to a sport utility vehicle in the lot. Investigators said the mechanism was a tracking device that a private investigator attached under the vehicle. A woman hired the detective to keep tabs on her husband, police said. The husband discovered the device and attached several wires to it, Macomb County Sheriff's Capt. David Teske said. When the private investigator went to retrieve the device, he called police, fearing the husband had booby-trapped it, Teske said.

From her husbands perspective it was probably pretty funny. Although I'm sure Public Safety didn't think so! I wonder technically if he broke any laws? It doesn't sound like he implied it was a bomb...that was the assumption of others.
