Default MPSCS Monitoring

Hey everybody. I just got my Uniden 796D in the mobile...my question is in regards to MPSCS system. I live in Sterling Hts (macomb county) and commute to Dearborn everyday for work

Mound Southbound --> 10 mile road --> John R --> 8 Mile Road --> Southfield Freeway --> Dearborn

The only towers I know near this area are Mt Clemens, Romeo, Detroit Simulcast, and Richmond...the system is sketchy at best where I usually drive. I guess my question is how do the MSP communicate in areas like Sterling Hts, Warren, Troy, even all up 8 mile road between mound and southfield, and on and around southfield freeway since there are really no towers in range....sometimes I catch a bit of the Detroit tower on 8 mile but it's weak at best.

I can get Mt. Clemens tower so so when I'm in Sterling Hts. but that is even sketchy. It seems like there aren't enough towers? I have a 796d and a Antenex ASCANC. I also have the antenex 800Mhz PHANTOM which adds significantly to the signal but still .....

I get the Mt Clemens and Romeo Tower real good from my apt. with just the telescoping antenna. I also get the Northville Tower. There seems to be a lot of freeway traffic on the Northville Tower.
