Default Pro-2096 help

I just purchased a Pro-2096 and am attempting to program it via the Win96 software.

I am not having any trouble programming the conventional FM channels but am stumped trying to get the trunked channels to work.

The database shows the following frequencies for the city of Warren:
851.4875
852.4875
853.4875
854.4875
855.5875
856.0375
856.0875

I entered these into a bank and they are all labeled as MOT but the scanner will not stop on them when in scan mode. If I manually go to any of these I will hear traffic but if I press the scan button it doesn't stop on them. (And yes, this bank is set to scan)

Thanks

You neeed the talk groups listed that you want to hear. Which you can get from the database. Or you can put the scanner in id search mode by dpressing the trunk button and you will hear all the talk groups.

Hope this helps.

Each channel should be set to MOT and the bank should be set to MOT. See attached example bank 0 with all seven freqs and bank 1 with just the control freqs.

Id search is a UNIDEN scanner he has a PRO2096, it's open mode on a GRE scanner.

Thanks, I got this to work. I think the problem was that I was not setting the bank to Mot.

Next question...

In police call it has a list such as:
16 Warren Police Dispatch North
48 Warren Police Dispatch South
etc etc

I assume these are alpha tags???

Is it necessary to enter these into the Win96?

What advantage is there to do this and what happens if you don't?

Thanks - I appreciate the help!

Your using OLD data, use the database here for the Warren APCO25 system. Those are Talk groups enter them in the box on the lower right side of the win96 screen ex.:
ALPHA, ID
Warren PD Disp, 310
example is in bank 0.
The database you want is here:
