Default Radio Recomendations for Utica?

I'm in the market for a new radio, I have an old Icom R1 that I have been usuing casually but I really want to start some serious scanning. I'm looking for a good general purpose feature packed scanner, handheld if possible. Eventually I'd really like to get into digital decoding so a unit that interfaces with a PC and has good software available would be nice. I know CLEMIS uses a trunking system that cannot be monitored so should I even bother looking at radios that offer trunking? The radios I have been looking at are the Winradio 1550, Icom PCR1000 and Uniden BCD396T.

Warren is digital trunked, as is MSP, Shelby Twp is on MPSCS, and Macomb County will be converting to MPSCS by the end of this year. The BCD396T and PRO96 are both digital and most of Macomb Co. will be digital by the end of the year.
