Any EDACS scanner can do it, it is EDACS analog with the exception of police dispatch which is ProVoice. You will never hear that channel (at least not on the Clinton Co system) with any scanner. But all else, police TAC, fire, etc. can be picked up with any EDACS-compatible trunked scanner.

you can hear some of the southern county dispatch on the mspcs system as well. I was listening one time and could hear the dispatch on clintons system. I can not hear it today though.

We try not to advertise that fact because the county doesn't know it. And it's not southern county dispatch - it is the entire police dispatch.

I am trying to input this system and not having any luck. It looks like they have 3 systems or sites? I have tried all 3 of them in LCN even though it looks like the St. Johns site does not have the first freq listed with a small 1(one) next to it so I left channel 1 in that bank blank. I also tried the other 2 sites listing them in LCN also and starting at channel 1 since they both have the little 1(one) next to them. I have tried ID scan and ID search and still nothing. I also have tried stepping thru the channels manually and don't hear the CC. Maybe I am too far away? I am S/E of Williamston about 5 miles but have an outdoor discone scanner antenna at 60 ft with about 100 ft. of 1/2 heliax. I can hear the ATIS from Capital City Airport and also Flint City PD on their VHF conventional channel, so I think my setup is fine. Any ideas? and/or does someone have a mem file I could try? I have a Uniden 296D and ARC250 software. Thanks

Only St Johns is operating as far as I know, you are WAY too far away to get it. There is very rough coverage in Lansing, so I can't imagine any way you'd get it down there. ATIS / VHF don't have the travel limitations that 800MHz does, especially from St Johns.

Ok well maybe I have it entered properly but too far away as I thought there was coverage into at least the Central part of Ingham but maybe not. Guess I will just have to take a drive up there with my scanner, thanks much. Also, just to confirm my setup does anyone have a mem file for ARC250 of Clinton's system?

I am getting Clinton Co. on their west tower so I know that one is working. Sorry can't help with arc software file but I am running 296d so I know you can get it to work. but you might be a little too far to hear anything. The signal is very weak even here in Clinton co.

Ok, so you just have the 5 freqs in your setup, starting at channel #1 or 101 or 301 or whatever and put in LCN? Do you do an ID Search or ID Scan? does it matter which one is used? Do you hear the CC when you manually stop on it? thanks

Well I have tried a few different setups, still no luck and I even tried from North Lansing. Not that I disagree with you rdale, but i checked with a couple of other people and 1 can monitor from a HH in Leslie and another on a HH in Holt so I should get it at my house. So I still may not have it setup properly. Tophat, even though you do not have the ARC software can you list your freqs and channel locations? either on here or PM me plz. Any one else have the ARC250 software and a mem file for this system? thanks

You must be on quite a hill to get CC all the way down in Leslie! Maybe Lansing is special ;>
