Default Stores

Besides the local Radio Shack, where are some good places that sell scanners in Southeast Michigan? I live in Macomb Township.

Communications Electronics in Ann Arbor, and the Electronic Connection on M-153 in Westland, would be among the two that I know of.

Electronic connection is usually more expensive than anyone else in town. Plus every time I go in they are rather rude unless you want to spend big $$.

I agree! After the Uniden BC796D had been on the market for about two years, I called Abel, they wanted full list price!

In my opinion, your best bet is to buy online, you'll find the cheapest price that way. You wont get the personal service of being in a store, but if you research what you want to buy good enough, you shouldn't need that. But that's just my opinion.

Does Public Safety Communications in Warren have a showroom? Can you pick up stuff there? Their address is a P.O. box so I'm wondering if you can even go there.

I would recommend Palco Electronics in Southgate, that may be quite a drive for you though. I live right by Electronic Connection and I would not recommend going there, the lady who runs the place is very rude. I don't know how Electronic Connection stays in business.

My experience, Electronic connection over priced and under friendly.
Palco, moderately priced, but not always knowledgable. Also, call ahead. Palco isnt known for their wide variety of inventory.

Public Safety Communications doesn't have a store front. However, with a call before hand we welcome visitors to look at product and trying it out. We are price competitive, but offer personalized service.
Store fronts for this type of business is just not worth it any longer. I guess that is why there are not too many around and what RS doesn't carry much any longer.
If you are in the Warren area again, we welcome meeting with the customer and out product lines continue to grow each week.

Our web sites are www.publicsafetycommunications.net

www.fnnm.net

Questions are also welcome @ 888-575-4610
