Default Is Michigan A Scanner Friendly State??

In terms of monitoring what are your opinions of monitoring with your scanner in Michigan? Is it more or less friendly for monitoring compared to other states?

Not sure what that means, but the number of systems that you cannot monitor due to encryption / proprietary schemes can probably be counted without using one whole hand.

As for ability to carry in a vehicle it used to be very unfriendly but that changed with the law this year. Im not sure when it takes effect but as most of our laws do it will be one of 3 dates.

Yup, lived in LaSalle Twp. in Monroe County for about 15 years. I'm just saying Michigan is a hard state, in English: Michigan doesn't *&^% around.

It's really not confusing... As long as you aren't breaking the law, it's legal to have in your car.
