Default Programming Help

I live in Hastings and really don't want to spend the time to program my scanner. Is there anywhere that I can send scanner to get it programmed? Btw, I have a BC245XLT.
Thanks,
Mike

Why would you not want to spend a little bit of time to program your scanner?? Why do you want someone else to do it for you? You cannot learn how to use your scanner if someone does all the work for you.

I recomend to folks that they program by hand first to get a feel for the radio and what it takes, then if that does not work for you order the software and program your radio that way.

I cant understand why you would want to buy a scanner but have someone else do the work for you

The trunking info for Barry Co. is under MPSCS system, which you'll need a digital scanner for.

rite on Eric-KB8UYC,

Keep telling folks that.

It more fun learning how to sail the boat than just going along for the ride.

While I whole-heartedly agree ("teach a man to fish..."), he didn't ask for opinions of whether or not he should program it himself. He asked if anyone knew where he could send it for programming, as he didn't want to do it.

Remember if you send it to Uniden to get programed, YOU must supply all the information and he said he didnot know about any trunking information for his area.
