Default St. Clair County

I will be traveling this weekend to the Port Huron Area. Is everyone switched over to the MPSCS system, and do they still simulcast on the UHF frequencies? Does fire or ems services use the UHF system still?

I sold my digital awhile back, just wondered if I need to program up one of my others.
That is if there is much to listen to.

Thanks.

The only departments in the county that are in the MPSCS system is MSP, DNR, FEDS, Hospitals and EMS.

The rest are UHF/VHF HI.

Sheriff 460.350
Port Huron 460.450
Clay Twp PD 155.815

Thanks I forgot the Fire Freqs.

Hell while your hear you might just get to listen to PHPD try to catch the Bank Robbers.

County is usualy busy because they dispatch Sheriff, Marysville PD, St. Clair PD/FD, Marine City PD/FD, Algonac PD/FD, Memphis PD/FD, Yale PD/FD, Capac PD/FD and all the township FD's.

They will also dispatch the occasional MSP 24 Cars.

MSP Cars you will hear on the County Freqs are.

24 Sam
24 Sam 2
24 William
24 Baker
24 General
K924
2432
2422

Marysville Cars are 671-679
Capac is 431-439
Marine City is 361-369
Algonac is 381-389
St Clair is 321-323, 332-336
Yale is 461-469
Port Huron is 1-22, 33

Just a brief run down of PD unit numbering here.

While were on the subject Clay is 154.815 not 155.815, I'm assuming a typo. When the rest of the county going to it? Is EMS fully on it?

Thanks for the frequencies, I did grab them from the database as well. I have seen sometimes where they list the older frequencies even though they might be unused.

I'll probably give a listen. The Dispatch there sounds similar to our dispatch here in Shiawassee except for the size of Port Huron. Our central dispatches everything, fire, ems, pd. Even most the phone calls from the PD's lobbies. Makes it very easy listening and easy to follow though.

Thanks for all the help, I'll probably listen in a little over the weekend.

I also like the fact that EMS went digital. Shiawassee county uses 155.175 for EMS as well, without using CTCSS I would pick up St. Clair area as well as Gratiot county and maybe even another. One still uses the same CTCSS tone but St. Clair's is one less to interupt on my non CTCSS enabled scanners.

Tri EMS is 100% completely on MPSCS system Digital.

County Marine Division is on MPSCS but all their LEIN traffic with County Dispatch is on 460.350.

Sorry yes Clay is on 154.815

Also you can pick up Sanilac County Central Dispatch which is 155.535.

ST Clair (city / twp) dispatch is a little strange. During normal work hours they will get dispatched from their office on non-emerg calls. Weekends / nights all calls go to the county.

911 Always goes to the county.

St Clair FD is still all volunteer. When they go out on a call Marine City and Marysville will dispatch a few to cover the fire hall. They alternate who covers for the call.

Chief walks over to the officers desk and says go to 123 No Where St for a harrassing phone calls report from 2 weeks ago..

Half the time SCPD is either running radar on the hill, or sitting at the office.

Heck when I walk in to register another gun.... They just pick up the phone and call an officer if they both are out. So a lot of that is just that way phone calls.

I think they also use the "secondary" freq 154.04000 as well.
