West Michigan Air Care (Kalamazoo) uses a Dauphin that is dark blue & emerald green. The enclosed tail rotor (fennistron) makes a unique "whistling" noise that gets louder just as the chopper passes you. It's not what I would consider "quiet", except compared to, say a Huey or a Chinook.
The newer Blackhawks (UH-60) are fairly quiet.

Thanks Chuck, I just add all of your freq. to my radio. One question, the freq. you listed as 450.4125, was that in AM or NFM? Thanks again, on my own, I would never have all of those freq.

NFM should work just fine. LMS Base uses the PL 141.3.

Also the traffic helo 2BQ uses a couple of 450 freqs also. I think Lance Howard is the pilot. Not sure if the other station WJR 760 AM is still sharing the helo with Joel Alexander? I don't listen to the AM stations much. I think one of the pilots moved on to flying a medical chopper now.
These freqs are also NFM.
450.1125 PL 141.3 WWJ 950 AM, traffic helo pilot talking to base. Paired with, 455.1125.
455.2125 helo recording traffic reports.

Cool DC-3 N737H flying near Selfridge.

It's not military, but it's still interesting. This DC-3 is doing work for the US Army Corp of Engineers taking pictures of the shore line just north of Selfridge. It belongs to Airborne Imaging.
Said he will be doing 3 mile long tracks @ 10th of a mile spacing until 06:33pm today.

Can check out his N # here, LANDINGS Welcomes All Pilots & Aviation Enthusiasts to Aviation's Busiest CyberHub

I heard them this morning talking to Selfridge Tower. Around 6:30 this evening, it flew right over my house at no more than 2,000 feet. What a great sight!

Was at a baseball game last evening (C.O.Brown Stadium, NE of Battle Creek), about 15 mins before game time (1645), heard something big & prop-driven approaching from the southwest. Finally, 2 CV-22 Ospreys came into view. They circled around north of the stadium, then came back around for 2 more passes. They didn't go directly overhead, in fact they stayed some distance away, but they got close enough for me to see what they were. On the 2nd pass they had their props tilted horizontal (helicopter-style), then shifted them down into the vertical as they circled to the SW. Didn't have a radio on my person so I couldn't monitor any comms.

First time I'd ever seen one aside from pictures/videos.
