Detroit area "get together"?
Has anyone ever organized a metro area "get together"?
Someplace we can all gather, check out each other's radio equipment, vehicle setups, etc?
I don't know if it's been done, but I think it would be kind of cool.
What does everyone think about this?

It's in northern Macomb County, at the "end" of Mound road...

That sounds like a great idea, I would love to meet other scanner junkies like me.

Well, North Macomb County is a bit further than I'd like to be driving, sure it's still the "tri-county" area, but a bit rural still.

That a little too far for me too.
If I were to help arrange such an event, it would have to be a little more "west side" for me.

There are a number of city owned parks in the southern end of Oakland County. Getting a shelter might be difficult at best on a weekend. Maybe something up around Southfield/Troy/Novi might work out?

This is not a bad idea at all. Maybe we can also arrange for a tour of some fire or police department as a group? I would even love to visit a 9-1-1 Center. One location we could try for is the fire museum in Ypsilanti?
