Default Selfridge late night activity

Last night around 11:00 P.M. I was outside on my patio and a fighter flew over and then it circled above Selfridge three times (possibly burning off fuel) and then landed on Runway 19. I grabbed my radio but I never did hear a call-sign. Anyone else happen to hear anything?

I heard and saw pretty much the same as you.

Curious, with the state of things in the middle east, eh?

I had my scanner on and heard all kinds of chatter on the fighter frequencies last night around that time. Especially 142.2, 143.925, and 148.525- didn't catch the callsigns though. It's a UTA weekend and I think they also have an ACC exercise this weekend so that could explain all of the activiity. It seemed like they were getting ready for something the last couple days.

Default Night Ops

In an unusual fashion the fighters were taking off at 21:15 last night.
Could be because they were recalled due to the weather around 14:30, and didn't complete training.
I was in the back yard listening at (about) 14:30 when 4 came in to roost.
There was a call out to two more to remain up in Bad Axe till a decision was made whether to bring them in or wait out the storm. They said the decision would be made within 4 minutes.
It was made and, sure enough, in came two to roost just as the rain started.
Great Selfridge weekend activity.
Regards;
Mike
