Default Grand Rapids Police

I was just looking on the DB and I noticed that GRPD is still using VHF. I thought they made the switch to MPSCS?

I'm going to be in that area on Thursday so I just want to make sure I have it programmed correctly.

I have Kent and GRPDs freqs from the DB in my conventional bank.

SO my question is did they or did they not make the switch over yet?

GR PD and Kent County Sheriff are still on the VHF freqs. All in the clear.

MSP Dist 6 patrols the expressway and use the MPSCS system.

Be ready for a very active scanner bank too!!! It is 1:30 am when I am posting this and my scanners haven't stopped! You would almost think it was a friday or saturday night instead of a sunday night.

I was recently in GR for a 3 day weekend. LOTS of action on the VHF. The MPSCS is pretty active too, at least more so than it is in my area.

Enjoy!
