With all the skip being heard as of late, I'm having a hard time identifying this department. It sounds like the mobile units are actually TXing digital modulation and it's being broadcast over an analog freq. however the dispatcher is TXing in analog. Any ideas? It seems to be near Detroit... thanks for the help in advance.

I too heard this on Thursday morning. Traffic sounded like Detroit City, more like a security patrol than PD. The address given was a city building which was closed. They were having them check it after getting an alarm via their card access system.
I heard it on my scanner, monitoring Olivet fire. I was unable to verify a PL, since that scanner doesnt have them.

It's a patch with the MPSCS:

State Colleges and Universities Talkgroups

"Dispatch, how do you read this unit?"
"Loud and clear...err...well...as clear as this digital stuff can be, I guess..."

Cool 453.625

we still use that in monroe for our EMD and siren activations. If I understand Fermi will be using that as their Freq soon.
