"Static" on 460.350 ?

Hi everone.

Has anyone else noticed static, or what sounds like an open mic on 460.350 (St. Clair County Sheriff main)? I noticed this starting on Friday when I got out of work at about 5:30 pm and it is still happening as of Sat. at 10:32 pm. I hear all of their transmissions ok, but it sounds like someone has an open mic and in scan mode it will lock on that channel and not continue scanning. Just curious as to what is causing this. This is happening on my bc296d, bc148xlt, bc60xlt.

They lost the South and West Tower in the rain storm yesterday.

Only one sided calls from dispatch were heard.

Also at one point the whole UHF County system was completely down. All cars were workign off Port Huron and Macomb County or the MPSCS.

Dipstick Gary A was still working on fixing it per his "abilities". Which means they will be like that for a while.

MAJOR OFFICER SAFETY issue for the south and west cars.

Glad you guys noticed it also, thought maybe I had an issue on my end.

Hey BigBlue, where is the west tower located? I thought the county just had the north and south towers and that was why everyone has such a hard time communicating from the west side?

The west tower is in Wales Twp just off of South Sparling Rd near Wales Center. You can't see it cause its blocked by trees.

It hasn't worked right in 10 years..
