Exclamation SBN Scannerbuff

I encourage anyone out there to join Scannerbuff network at www.scannerbuff.net . There, you should sign up for SBN Alerts for the detroit area, everyone can send and receive alerts for any area within the country. Just sign up there on the main page and sign up for alerts in the detroit area. but, the alerts are only as good as the listeners, so encourage people to join and listen to there scanners and send alerts.

Not to be a trash talker and I mean no disrespect, but I tried scannerbuff before going to FNNM(Fire Notification Network of Michigan)

I was not happy with the level of service nor was I happy with what I could and could not page out. I would send a page for a chase and was told that I sent too many pages. The idea behind paging any inciden out is to get the info out there, then as things change update the call. I am very happy with FNNM and I will never ever use another service, FNNM has been my one stop shop and I am very happy with the service that Garry provides and what we are able to do. All of this is within a scope of decency and one call does not get 50 million pages, but if you are working a structure fire, then updates have to be able to be put out without someone saying "thats too much"

Remember that most of the "decent" services that do this are monitored by the local News agencies. This information is critical to them as they need to make a decision if it is news worthy and worth getting in the van and driving out there.

I am not trying to tell anyone not to try it, it might work for you, but if you want the best coverage for michigan alerts for Police, Fire, EMS and Canada--look no further than FNNM, you will not be disappointed!
