G.R. and Kent county on MPSCS? New Tower?

With the reception in Kent County, does anyone else feel they will have to put up a new tower before G.R. and Kent County Sheriff goes live?

All public safety operations in Kent County will be operating on the MPSCS TRS, by early 2010.

There are talking about implementing a simulcast network, much like the system in the city of Detroit. There would be several towers across Kent County, and in the city of Grand Rapids, to ensure adequate coverage throughout the area. This would improve handheld coverage inside the city, especially in area where there are current dead spots. That being said, Kent County and Grand Rapids plan on migrating to the MPSCS by the end of 2010.

great! I have very bad reception getting the Cans and C. Springs tower from home and will be able to get the ones in GR better. Just hope they don't decide to go encrypted like Kzoo Pub Safty
