Default Macomb County Medcom

I was told that medcom moved to the MPSCS system. Is this true? If so anyone know the tg #'s?

Pete

I know in Mason county Life EMS is using the MPSCS system, but I have not heard anything on the MedCom doing any type on simulcast to the MPSCS system. If an ambulance company and hospital want to go to the MPSCS system I sure they can(as long as they are i belive non profit??), like they Life did and even I have heard in Ionia county one did there as Ionia City is on the System and I have heard their EMS talking to one of the hospitals.

I monitor Barry and Kent county and have heard nothing on the Two towers in Barry and two in Kent

Macomb County MedCom was disbanded on 1/15/07 due to the fact that Mt. Clemens General Hospital did not want to foot the entire bill for the operation. Macomb Co ambulances now contact each hospital directly either through an 800mhz TG or on the Region 2N VHF HEAR channel aka 154.340mhz

I bet he did. The HEARN/HEAR freqs are a lot quieter now, I can actually use my HEAR with much less hassle. Nothing like having the 800 crap out and having to wait for someone yelling MEDCOM MEDCOM Alpha 105 Pri one traffic Alpha 105 your patched to blah blah. How much power was MEDCOM using? I could hear them clear to Novi!

J

On a side note, I swear I heard Harper Woods the other day on there. I needed Med control and someone who I swear was from Harper Woods gave the longest report minus their DNA sequence. Makes it a pain when your pt suddenly is crapping out.

Ahhh that was me giving that report.....If you where listening we were asking for medical control on a family member who was trying to revoke a DNR on an obvious DOS.

Ah, well you obviously needed the freq. I didn't catch all of the report, now it makes sense. Just wanted to mention that your radios work REALLY well for as far away as I was.

Have fun and stay safe!
