I heard this on D 6 a few nights ago. Problem was I could only hear 1 side of the i-call. One of the tropperrs went to Ionia Hospital. very interesting to listen to

Yeah I caught the intial call into Central Dispatch on the scanner, you could just hear in the trooper's voice how bad they were shaken up.

Come to think of it, there was some radio traffic that night that had me wondering....they said something like "the pig is in the pot", it was about this time also.

You need a 396 or 996 to receive I-Call, put 700000 in as a talkgroup ID.

dale goes that make it so I will hear i-call if I have it in scan mode. I hear thenm just fine in search mode.
Also that nite I could only hear one side of the i-call. Is that because the tropper was x-mitting on a different tower?

I was only hearing 1 side of the I-Call, was that because the Ionia Post was x-mit on 1 tower and the tropper was on a different tower?
I did not have the 700000 programed in was just in search mode and could only hear the Post talking.

incase anyone listens to consumers energy in Michigan, I did the same thing with there EDAC system, But put in i00000 (that is the letter I and 5 zeros) and it worked for I-call

Correct. Since it's only between two people, they only need to transmit on the tower where the other is listening. |
