LTR Passport Systems

Are these becoming the hot new systems to install since you cannot monitor them.

I'm a little foggy on this, but I thought I read that there is a way to listen to Passport.
Since I don't have anyone in my neck of the woods, I read it and moved on.

This is what I remember:
1. Program each frequency as digital, or MO, or whatever you want to call it.
2. But make the bank conventional.
3. You will hear some data burst, but will also hear the conversations.

Does any of that sound right? This may be all wrong, but that's as much as I can remember about the post I read somewhere.

You can listen to them it's the ProVoice and Open Sky systems you can't listen to.

LTR Passport systems cannot be trunktrack. They can be monitored in conventional mode though.

They are not at all the "hot" system, there are very few in the public safety arena.

I'm guessing bigblue was thinking LTR, which can be trunktracked. But not Passport.
