Problems monitoring EDACS on Rs.scanners
Just wondering if anyone else is having problems monitoring the Ingham co. EDACS system on the pro-96 or,2096.I can track the system with them, but I miss parts of the transmission,it's like it cuts off the first couple seconds and, somtimes competely misses them.I monitor the system on my old Rs. 2052.and it works fine....any suggestions?

I have been listening on my pro 96 and pro 97 and can't say I have any problems. How about it you try to monitor the EDAC of Consumers energy and see if they are ok. If you haven't as well you could try the firmware upgrade to see if that helps. Of course I have never had any problem listen to EDAC on my pro 96 since I got it about a year ago

Do you have the first frequency in channel 0 of the bank? If so, move all frequencies down one position starting with channel 1.
EDACS systems don't recognize channel 0 in LCN assignments. Your 2052 doesn't have channel 0.

if you do have the channels starting at 1 and 0 if empty let me know if it is any better today as they again switched there control channel again. It is back to LN7 and I get better reception when they have it on 7 and not 3

Maybe someone can clear as to why the Control Channel on the Ingham County EDAC system changes so much. In the last two weeks the control has gone from CHns 7 to 3 to 7 to 3 and then to 5 as of last nite.
I wasn't sure if maybe just mainteance or another issue.

Out of all the EDAC systems I monitor that was the first one. I get better reception when the Control is at LN7. No wonder my reception has been going good then bad and back and forth.

I have Freqencies in there properly(starting at 1) I think it is the radio system itself, somtimes when I'm at the Ambulance base one of the portables will be on in the charger, and it may miss a few seconds of what the base radio picks up,and vice versa.

That'd be a reception issue, try a different antenna. I've not noticed that in Lansing.

This actually happens with the MA COM Radios themselves I've noticed.

It's probably a reception issue, try a different location...
