Michigamme Gains Back 1900 Steamer
Michigamme Township once again owns their first fire truck, the 1900 steamer. The truck is enroute to upper Michigan from Cripple Creek, Colorado where it's been for the past three years.
Fire department officials spent $150,000 to purchase the truck and they'll have to raise all that money to pay back the township.
An open house is planned for this Sunday at 2 p.m. in Michigamme to show off the truck. You can help by donating to the 1900 Steamer Fund, P.O. Box 111, Michigamme, MI 49861.
