How Do You Program for The Statewide System?

I have a 396.

Do you program each tower as a system? program all the frequencies into one system?

Can you hear conversations that originate in detroit on the dexter tower and vice versa?

Each tower is a system.

If someone is in Dexter with a Detroit radio you might. Conversations follow their towers.

If you have the factory programing software then you will notice that the MPSCS is already set up in it. It appears to be the complete state of michigan. When I put that into my 396 it did work but it scanned very slowly!. I ended up putting each tower I was interested in in it's own system.

I don't know how complete, or accurate Uniden's data will be for Michigan. We've had numerous changes, and additions in recent months.

With a lot more coming in the next few months. Hopefully, Uniden updates their files very often. If not, having last years talkgroups is worthless.
